Christmas Gift Guide

It's Christmas season and it is the time for giving but it can be tough choosing the right gifts to buy. For me, this year I decided to save money and just buy small gifts and even make some gifts to give to family. With a new born on the way money is going to be tight and I still wanted to make Christmas special for all of us. So I thought I would share with you some gift ideas which don't break the bank but might help you out. Remembering isn't about how much you spend its the thought that really counts.

For my partner I always pick up food items, this can be anything to his favourite biscuits to a box of chocolates. This can be a great gift for anyone you might be struggling to buy for. They are reasonably affordable and honestly helps when your stuck for what to get. It can also be a great gift to get elderly relatives as some tea sets can be ideal. For elderly relatives I prefer food/drink sets as it covers a variety of bases and provides a variety of things to for them to enjoy.

Full sized or mini board games are a lot of fun and can be a great gift for a loved one of all ages. I love gifting and receiving games, they give you something to do as a family and are so much fun. Plus as adults can become very competitive, Monopoly really shows you who you shouldn't trust.

We have a new born on the way and if he arrives when he is supposed to he will only be 2 weeks old. Being so young he won't remember his first Christmas, so I don't want to spend too much and buy things he wouldn't use. So I've idea to get him some clothes, things that are basic but we needed. Most of the gifts I got our baby boy are things we need for him rather than gifts, it was a little excuse to get basics and still have gifts to open. But this doesn't have to be for the young ones, I have received clothes and gifted clothes as well, socks are a great stocking filler and will get used a lot.

Anything from perfume to skin care sets these are great for adults and teens. You can save a bundle when looking for sets if you know where to hunt. Places like Poundland, B&M and Home Bargins are great places to find affordable sets by Lynx, Dove and L'OrĂ©al. Or if you are in the mood for something a bit more fancier, TKMaxx can be a home for a lot of different skincare sets and this year they are selling Body Shop sets. Want to spend a bit more then head straight to the source such as Body Shop and Boots.

Gift Cards
This does feel like a cop out sometimes but honestly gift cards can be a life saver especially if you are struggling to know what to get. For me and my partner we have no idea what we want for Christmas, with the baby on the way money seems to make the most sense. We can then buy anything we need or want. Some gamers will thank you for the gift cards especially with more games being released for PS5 and Xbox. You can make gift cards more fun by packaging them up special or with money you could even stick it to a balloon.

These are just a few products which might help you out in a sticky situation or help with creating a stocking for your loved ones.
