Mac Makeup || Review

Mac, a brand that really got me into this makeup addiction that I see myself in now. With so many shades to choose from and professional quality you cannot just pass them by. This little collection of products collected over the last few months just brings the joy back into makeup for me. Most of the products I did pay full price for, but for the others, TKMaxx bargains.

I love Sia and her music, it just speaks to me, and I couldn't miss out on picking up her Viva Glam lipstick. If you don't know what Viva Glam is, it was set up to donate the money from the sale of these lipsticks for HIV and AIDS groups. It is such a fabulous cause and you get an awesome lipstick. The packaging is shiny black tube with Sia written in red. This is a little different from the other Viva Glam lipsticks that I own as the Mac on the side is the classic silver. The lipstick itself is a beautiful red shade, perfect for nights out and lasts all day as it's a matte! I love matte lipsticks, they don't bleed or get transferred on your hair and this red is bold and beautiful. It is more on the cool side than warm which is perfect for pale skin tones and anyone who wants whiter teeth (haha). A great purchase and a perfect addition to my collection.

Selena Bronzer in Techno Cumbia (£25)
As you can tell by the absence of a link, this is one of my TKMaxx finds. I wanted the Selena Collection when it first came out, but unfortunately missed the boat on that one. Never the less, when it showed up at my local TKMaxx store, you know I grabbed at it. This packaging is beautiful, with its purple packaging and light purple Selena signature, it is eye catching. Inside the product is split in two parts, a large bronzer and a small blush. The bronzer is a wee bit dark for my skin tone so just a dab is all I need. The blush is pretty, but lets face it with the large bronzer we all know its there to add a little more colour to the bronze. With a handy mirror for on the go, it is perfect for travel, though being that it would suit more darker skin tones better, I am pleased I didn't buy it full price.

I found a link for this one but not from Mac, in fact this one and the next one are both from TKMaxx. Contouring and cream contouring seem to be the in thing now days and I for one love it. Though when your on the go, using brushes to contour can be a pain especially if you are doing it on the go. That's where Multiples come in handy, a stick with a contour and highlight crayon at each end. This is true for the QuikTrik Stick, though there are a variety of shades, from contour and highlight to blushes. I picked up mine in the shade Tight and Tanny (contour) and Softly Does It (highlight). Creamy goodness in stick form, I mean the contour shade is a little dark so a little goes a long way, but it is perfect for really sculpting out my face. It blends into the skin beautifully, though you have to work in stages as it does dry reasonably quick. The highlight shade is beautiful, it has a nice glow, but on my pale skin it seems to just blend in. That being said it does make my skin look dewy and healthy.

Viva Glam Ariana 2 (£17.50)
Just like the Selena collection, I wanted to grab the latest Ariana Grande Viva Glam Lipstick. I have the first one as well as the lip glass, but I wanted the new lipstick. Finding it hiding behind some other products I was ecstatic. Like most of the Viva Glam rand the tube is matte black with red Mac and Ariana's signature around it. Inside is probably one of my most outrageous shades of lipstick from Mac. A Fuchsia pink shade, even more brighter than Candy Yum Yum. It is bold and brilliant though not for the faint hearted.

Firstly we need to take a second and talk about this packaging girl. It is duo chrome, purple blue and it is gorgeous. The photos do not do it justice as you really need to see it in all light angles. I actually picked these up back at the end of June with a Mac voucher I got for my birthday. They are stunning and gorgeous, and the tubes are the same duo chrome effect as the box. The shades I picked up were Twig a slightly cool toned nude and Beach Hut a mauve shade. Both were very different to the others I own, especially Beach Hut, I have never seen a lipstick quite that shade before. Twig is actually a cult classic, but was brought back with some special packaging and I love it. They are both really wearable especially for the autumn months, and they are matte. Again, my favourite formula, as they don't dry your lips out and last all day. They smell divine and I can't get enough of them, highly recommend you pick yourself up one of these shades just for the packaging alone.

Who runs Mac and what were they thinking! They are clearly geniuses, mini lipsticks are a must have. Reduced price, reduced size and all the cult classics in a handy handbag size. These small tubes of lipstick are literally a god send, especially if you want to try the lipstick before you invest. From Ruby Woo to Velvet Teddy, all the cult classics you've ever wanted to try for only £10. Mehr is a beautiful reddish nude shade and one I have been dying to try. Perfect for every day and I definitely will be purchasing the full size, not only that I really want to try Ruby Woo.

What Mac shade would you like in mini form??
