Jeffree Star Makeup || Review

Back in Christmas 2016, I finally got my hands on some Jeffree Star Liquid Lipsticks. Then began my love for Jeffree Star cosmetics (I wrote a little about why I still buy Jeffree Star cosmetics in a previous review), since then, I have got my hands on the Manny MUA Collab collection and a few bits from the 2017 Summer Chrome collection and I plan to grab a few more products in the future.

Firstly and unfortunately this product is limited edition so grab it while you can as it won't be available for long. The packaging is super cute, it is like a reverse of the original packaging, with pink chrome and pink writing. The actual compact is very mirror like in the same pink chrome shade, and large with 15g of product. Even though the compact is plastic, it doesn't feel cheap at all and includes a great sized mirror. Now to the actual highlighting powder, it is a duochrome white with a pink hue and it really packs a punch. But there is a slight downside, it does feel very creamy to swatch and it blends out well. However, it seems to have terrible fall out, worse than the Eclipse Skin Frost. Being such an impact highlighter the fall out is very noticeable. To get over this problem I have found applying it with a damp brush or on top of a liquid highlighter. I would avoid using fluffy brushes as it causes more fall out. Overall though, a great highlighter than will leave you glowing brighter than the gods.

Again just like the Skin Frost, the packaging is the same, with the cap of the tube being that pink chrome. Calabasas is a beautiful matte reddish nude shade, which work as a perfect everyday shade. I love the doe foot application and it applies like a dream, though you do have to wait a little for the lipstick to completely dry. the only downside to this liquid lipstick to the originals is the smell. It doesn't seem to smell as nice, it starts off smelling foul, though I'm sure it eventually turns to a floral scent (unless I just smell really nice haha). Like all the liquid lipsticks, it does last a very long time and doesn't seem to budge from the lips unless you introduce oils or grease.

Currently I only own two of the main collection Rose Matter (dusty rose nude) and Doll Parts (mauve nude). These smell incredible, I believe the scent is root beer, but either way it smells unbelievable. The original packaging is pink with pink chrome print, and the tubes have the pink cap with the pink chrome detailing. The shade range of the original collection is incredible, from the normal pink, nudes and reds to the bold black, whites and greens. There will definitely be a shade from you, so be daring and crazy, bring a little color in your life.

Stay Gorgeous
