Adrenaline Junkies! Add These Sports to Your Vacation

People thinking about vacations don’t usually think of sports. We watch sports all the time, we discuss it with friends and colleagues, and play it recreationally every so often. A vacation should be a break from the norm… so why throw sports into the equation?

Perhaps you don’t appreciate the sheer range of sport activities you can participate in while on vacation. There are sports that really take it out of you and get your blood pumping, and sports that fit more into the luxurious mold that people often associate with vacations. Whatever the wish, there are sports options for everyone on vacation. You want to keep fit while on vacation, right?

Here are some ideas you should consider!

Keeping things calm with golfing
If you want vacations to wind you down instead of wind you up, then golfing might be the best thing to include. What could be more luxurious than golfing? Imagine the glorious sun, the perfectly trimmed grass. No roaring crowds, no team chants. Just you, a club, a ball, and nature, a club and a ball. In fact, a lot of people who go on holidays purposefully include golf in to increase the sense of luxury!

Getting wet
Scuba diving, surfing, snorkelling, or just basic swimming - some of the most beautiful places on Earth can hardly be experienced to the full without engaging in one of these things. Nice in France, San Diego in the U.S., the coasts of Brazil and Dubai...  when people picture luxury vacations, they often imagine beautiful blue waters. And all that water should be explored!

Getting extreme
We could all do with a little more thrill in our lives, right? With that in mind, you should consider throwing in some extreme sports with your next vacation - or even finding something close to home if you want to get your adrenaline fix a little sooner. Things like Experience gift vouchers can help you a lot if you’re looking for these sorts of thrills. Hovercrafting, flying, coasteering, even tank driving - if you want to “live life to the max” (which I assume the cool kids still say), then this is something you should consider for your next break.

The south of France is one of the most luxurious places on Earth. The same could be said for many parts of Italy… or, you know, Europe in general. You could venture to Europe and see if you can get tickets to one of their many motorsports events… but if you’re not there at the right time of year, you can still get your motor thrills. Why not spend some of your vacation time driving a Ferrari? This may be one of your only chances to drive a luxury sports car on the sort of roads they were designed to drive on!

There’s a reason celebrities flock to Wimbledon every year. Tennis is an incredible sport, though also something of a contradiction; it’s seen as a luxury to spectators, but for the participants, there are few things more intense, vigorous, and demanding. There are loads of specialised tennis resorts in some of the most beautiful places in the world.
