Travel Technology: Never Leave Home Without It

I love to travel around the world and experience new cultures. It’s one of my passions, and it’s something most of my readers will know about me. However, I’m yet to publish an article about the technology I take along on my trips. I try to create memories that will last a lifetime, but I also like to record as much as possible. That way, I can show all my friends and family members all the interesting things I encountered. With all that in mind, here is a quick list of all the tech I pack in my suitcase. Hopefully, it will help you to leave no stone unturned when planning your next trip abroad.

Video recording equipment

Making a video of the places you visit will ensure you never forget anything. That is why I make a point of taking a small HD video camera whenever I get on a plane. You can get them online for little expense these days. However, you can always apply for personal loans if you need some extra cash before you travel. Try to vlog your journey as much as possible. You could even upload the footage to YouTube in the hope of creating some income. If you have more than 10,000 views on your channel, you can place adverts on your videos. Who knows? That could help to fund your continued travel ambitions.

Professional photography equipment

Alongside the video camera, I always take some additional photography equipment. While stills from videos look good, they’ll never beat a professional photograph. Spare no expense when it comes to purchasing the right camera for your expedition. That’s how you will capture the best views and sights. You need something waterproof that is going to work well in all manner of different conditions. It’s also sensible to invest in some lenses to ensure you snap the best pics possible. You can then upload them to your social media accounts and make all your friends jealous. You can also print them off and add them to your travel scrapbook. If you ever decide to have children, they’re going to love looking through those images when they get older.

Navigational equipment

You only need navigational equipment if you plan to venture off the beaten track. Those visiting popular holiday destinations should save their money. However, people who want to climb Machu Picchu or somewhere similar should make an investment. You never know when something will go wrong and you might lose your way. If that happens, you’ll require some tools to help you reach civilization. Compasses and maps are essential. You should also consider purchasing a satellite phone too. That way, you can always call for assistance, regardless of where you might find yourself.

Now you know a little more about the technology I use when I’m traveling, I hope you get things right. The last thing you want is to come home without photos or video of your trip. While you’ll still have the memories in your head, you’ll never relive them with the people who matter to you. So, do yourself a favour and create a shopping list the next time you purchase plane tickets. I guarantee you’ll thank me when you get home.

Stay Gorgeous
