August Favorites

Monday, August 29, 2016

It's that time again where we look back over the last month and see what we have been loving. I realize that I haven't done one of these posts in a while, so to make up for it I have been loving a lot. So get comfy this may be a long one.

Beauty
This first beauty favorite is no surprise as it is just stunning, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminator in Riviera. The packaging is so classic and the product is like gold. The highlighter has so much dimension to it, that you cannot hep but just stare at it. The color pay off is phenomenon, with its golden bronzey tones, it is just stunning. Sticking to the theme of highlighters this next product is simply amazing. The Sleek Solstice palette, a drugstore highlighter with so much punch that it could rival the most highest end of highlighters. The palette comes with 4 highlight shades, 3 powders and 1 cream. It is the powders that have the most punch, usually I do a couple of sweeps across the cheek bones with my usual highlighters, but this you need a quick sweep and your done, any more then that and they would probably be able to see you from the moon.

On to the base. To start a concealer that I have been using non-stop since receiving it, the Proactiv+ Instant Fix Concealer. A full coverage concealer designed to improve the look of blemishes as well as giving you that flawless base. I love applying it to my blemishes before I apply my foundation. I have been loving a glowing complexion recently, I don't really know why as I used to think it made me look oily, but my feelings seem to have changed. So to help me get that glowing skin I have been using the Body Shop Instaglow CC Cream before I apply my foundation. It doesn't give me a flawless base or an even skin tone which is why I use it under foundation, but what it does do is give me a really nice natural glow which does come through most of my foundations. It is so creamy and blendable I cannot help myself but add more glow.

On to the lips and this section is gong to be my longest. Firstly if you follow me on Instagram then this will be no surprise, but I have been obsessed with the Kylie Lip Kits. Before I go on I must say that these kits are fake, mainly because I didn't have the money to buy all 7 real ones from Kylie Cosmetics. But don't fret, I do actually have two real genuine lip kits coming from the states, when will they arrive I don't know but they were very expensive (that's why I have only 2). Ok so the lip kits I have been loving are Dead of Knight, Koko K, Dolce K and Candy K. Koko K,Candy K and Dolce K are beautiful everyday nude matte shades. All different shades of nude but all work for day  looks as well as evening looks. Dead of Knight is actually my favorite out of the 4 mentioned. It is very different to anything I own, because it is black. It gives off this witchy vibe which I love as it makes me feel like a member of AHS Coven. All these lip kits come with liners and they are all so easy to apply and last all day. In fact I am now obsessed with liquid lipsticks and contouring my lips.

But my liquid lipstick obsession doesn't stop there, I have also been loving the NYX Lingerie lipsticks in Exotic and Corset. They are both so beautiful and matte, they last all day and to top it off they are super affordable. What's more the main reason I picked them up was because they are supposed to be dupes of two Jeffree Star Liquid Lipsticks.

Extras
Wow that was a lot of beauty,on to the extra bits. First up a game, Brain Training for Nintendo DS. I have been using it every day to start activating my brain a little bit more to get me in that educating mood. It sounds strange but as I will be going back to uni I wanted to get my brain back into thinking scientifically so it wont be so much hard work when I go back. It is great fun and you get to try and beat your brain age every time you go on.

My new trainers have to have a spot on my favorites, as I have been wearing them all the time. I haven't had a decent pair of trainers since 2013 and after going through several pairs of trainers it was time to look somewhere other than Primark. So Select had me covered. My new trainers are court style, white and have rose gold detailing on the back and islets of the shoe. Comfy for all day walking and stylish to go with any outfit they are truly and must have staple for me.

Finally a strange on, Piriteze. Yep a hayfever pill. Over this past month I have been suffering with hayfever really badly, it is either a new plant or something that is setting me off. Without Piriteze I wouldn't be able to function, being a sneezy, runny mess. I prefer Piriteze as it is a stronger form of Piriton and lasts all day. I find that Piriton doesn't help my symptoms as much as Piriteze, so if your suffering give this a go.

That has been all my August favorites, it has been fun and I can't wait to see what next month brings.

Stay Gorgeous
