What's in my Makeup Bag

I have seen a load of bloggers write a post about what's in their makeup bag and what their go to products at the moment are. I usually do a video with all my fave products, but I thought I'd write about them instead as you will end up seeing them in favorite videos anyway. The products that I usually go for are more focused on everyday so I don't use a lot of fancy things. For nights out and events I usually pick my luxurious items,so you won't see all of them in this post. When I travel I usually take my everyday makeup with a couple of extras in case, but knowing what your everyday can't live without products are really help narrow down your makeup when travelling. It usually takes me about a week to pack my makeup bag, as I am constantly removing I items that I probably won't use.

My go to makeup bag is my Ted Baker large wash bag. It holds all my makeup and a few brushes, perfect size for me. My go to primer is the Benefit Porefessional, matte and poreless perfection and perfect for everyday. Foundation is a little tricky, as I don't want full coverage at the moment and my skin is pale as anything. So I have been gravitating to wards a mixture of Nars Weightless foundation and Charlotte Tilbury Magic foundation. The Charlotte Tilbury gives me that flawless complexion and it is a light shade and the Nars gives me a little more coverage and glowing skin. For a bit of extra coverage, it has to be Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. It's affordable, it's easy to use and it is amazing. I have to powder to finish my base off, and my go to everyday powder is the Rimmel Clear Complexion powder. It is a lot more finer than the Stay Matte and it is easy to apply and blend out.

On to the perfection part of the makeup, also known as contouring and highlighting. Contour for my everyday look comes from the Nars Laguna bronzer, just lightly applying it under the cheek bones and the sides of my nose, then blending it out. For that more bronzed skin look, I always grab Benefit's Hoola bronzer. I just use this to blend out my contour a little more and bronze up my forehead and jaw line. For a pop of color to the cheeks I usually go for Benefit's Rockateur Blush, but I do blend it out so it is very subtle. Finally for that highlight that never quits, Mac Soft and Gentle. Highlight is my life and I couldn't live without highlight, the more the merrier.

Now to all those detailed bits. Brows, it has got the be the Soap and Glory Archery pencil, its affordable and works really well for a quick application. It is a little light for my brows at the moment but for quick application in early mornings. For the eyes it always changes, at the moment it is the Charlotte Tilbury Uptown Girl palette, but it really depends how I feel on the day to what I have on my eyes. For mascara I have been going back the the Urban Decay Perversion mascara. It has been giving me long fuller lashes that are just so easy for an everyday look. Finally for lips, again it depends on what I feel like on the day, as some days I want a nude lip and others a bold lip. But, recently I have re-discovered an old favorite and have been using it a few times, the Estee Lauder Crystal Baby lipstick. It's a pinkish redish nude and looks amazing on the lips and it is perfect for an everyday lip color.

This is what is in my makeup bag at the moment and what I really grab when I'm in a hurry. What's in your makeup bag??

Stay Gorgeous
