Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette || Review

Well after the Naked 3 palette, I didn't think it would be this soon that Urban Decay would release a new eye shadow palette. But they did, the Naked Smoky palette, a gorgeous selection of shades that look great on their own or smoked out for a more glamorous look. The packaging is different from the Naked 2 and 3, with its plastic case and magnetic plates to hold the lid closed. The color on the packaging is very different, with its almost marbling look, that gives it the 'smoky' impression. The only down side to this packaging is the case, the lid has a white base under the plastic (where the mirror is) and looks very nice, but the bottom is semi-clear. This means you can see everything all the shadow pans and the glue holding them in place, not the best look.

Opening the lid you can see the huge mirror, that is classic for these palettes. Below, the 12 new shadows, compared to the Naked 2 and 3. There are also a different combination of shades, usually the shadows go from light to dark, where as in this palette there is a shimmer section of 8 going from light to dark and then 4 matte shades going from dark to light. This way to laying out the shadows is perfect, as you can see the matte and shimmer shades, and use the matte shades for transition, which you usually use once. The shadows are fairly pigmented but blend out very easily, and for the shimmer shades not one is chalky or grainy, when compared to the Naked 3 palette.

The palette has it all, nude light shades, deep smokey shades and those all important transition shades. It really is the perfect palette, and makes it easy to create a beautiful smokey eye, so it's great for beginners. I would recommend this palette to all, but it is on the highend side at £38. But if you only buy one Urban Decay palette get this one you won't be disappointed.

What's you favorite Urban Decay palette??

Stay Gorgeous
