Too Faced Melted Lipstick || Review

Friday, October 02, 2015

I managed to get the Too Faced Melted Lipsticks a few months back, and they have certainly become one of my favorite lip products. I own two Melted Lipsticks and a Melted Metals Lipstick, and after these would desperately love to have more.

The packaging is really fun and pretty with the colored squeezy tube and gold lip, matte gold for the originals and shiny gold for the metal. Unscrewing the lids, you are met with the most weirdest applicator ever, a sponge. Getting the product out is easy enough, just squeeze the tube, though do this lightly as you can over squeeze and loads of product comes out. The product does have a slight scent but it isn't amazing, sort of a floral tang. The product is very pigmented and not at all tacky, it glides on very smoothly and looks amazing. The original lipsticks are matte in color and I find them to dry semi matte on the lips, the shades I own are coral and nude. As for the metal lipstick it has shimmer running through it, I own Debutante, which is a light coral shade with gold shimmer running through it, almost like a rose gold. I have found that these lipsticks last a long time on the lips, but there is some transfer, so if you have had a meal, top up may be needed. However, I have found that the brighter/darker the shade the longer it lasts and the more it stains the lips. Nude seems to transfer a lot more than coral, which leaves a stain and lasts a lot longer.

These new style lipsticks are amazing and I would recommend them to anyone, as there is such a large variety of colors to choose from, you will be able to find the perfect one for you. They are more highend at £19 each, so if you want a cheaper alternative the brand I Heart (part of Revolutions Makeup) in Superdrug do a lot of dupes to Too Faced and they also do a dupe to the melted lipsticks, so check them out.

Have you tried the Too Faced Melted Lipsticks yet??
