Tarte Makeup || Review

Back in May, I won tickets to Beauty Con. While I was there I managed to pick up a few bits from Crown, NYX and Tarte. I am obsessed with my Tarte products and just had to share my review with you.

I have seen a few Youtubers talk about this palette, and it looked really pretty. In person it was just as pretty, with its compact size and purple gradient box, very professional though a little plastic. It is a little tough to open, but once in you can see what all the fuss is about. With its huge mirror and 12 all matte shadows, its just so beautiful. This is one of the only palettes I have seen that has all matte shadows, and they are in a perfect gradient to each other. The first row is light brown to dark, the second is light pink to purple and the last is the classic light beige to black. This palette is perfect for creating so many looks, from a dramatic smokey eye to a beautiful gradient eye. not only does it cater for so many looks but it also works perfectly for that day to night look.

If you are a lover of matte shadows then you need this palette in your life. the only thing I would suggest is to blend and reapply, as with all matte shadows the color can fade a lot when blending them out. Also, I add a little more glamour, add a shimmer or glitter shadow in the center of the eye, this makes them stand out more, and makes your eyes appear larger.

I had high hopes for this mascara, as I have seen it all over Youtube and so many people were saying just how good it was. However, my first use of the product didn't really seem up to my expectations. The packaging is very unusual though does have that quirky class, in a faux-snake skin case. The wand is like all overs, stiff with a short bristles at the end. Applying it to my lashes, it was very wet and made the lashes stick together, it was not a good look at all and very disappointing. After leaving it for a few weeks, I decided to try it out again, and my opinion on it changed. It had now dried a little, meaning less wet and my lashes didn't stick together. The overall look was very long looking washes, that were separated making them appear slightly fuller.

I believe this mascara should be given a chance as it seems it doesn't do well first time. It is such a beautiful mascara and really makes the lashes stand out. It is pricey but so worth it in my opinion.

Never before had I ever considered this mascara, but after receiving two in the goodie bag from Beauty Con, I decided to give it a go. No surprise I loved it, just like the Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara, it has a very unique packaging, bamboo. It is so strange and at first I didn't think I would like it. The wand is again like normal with longer bristles at the end, this usually means more volume than length. Well not realizing that it was part of the Amazonian Clay collection, I was in for a surprise. Application was very easy and it did give my lashes volume, but also a bit of length,  great as an everyday mascara. It didn't run or flack, in fact when it came time to have my shower it wouldn't budge at all. Just like the Benefit They're Real mascara, this sucker clung on for dear life. After a few cleans and the use of the Benefit They're Real Remover, I got it off. Wow, so it may not say that it's waterproof, but trust me it is.

I think this mascara is amazing and would highly recommend it over the Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara any day. It is a perfect product for holidays, heat, sea and sun, and lasts all day. It is a little pricey, but when you compare it to some other mascaras it is definitely up there is my top 5.

Have you tried any Tarte products??
