April Favorites + Competition

Hey dolls,

This month is so close to ending and there is some exciting things ahead. But we need to recap April before we can move on.

To start, I am so sorry I have been away for pretty much most of the month. I have just been so busy with Uni work and have got a little addicted to my Xbox 360 and Play Station 4, sorry gamer girl life. I have however, filmed a whole bunch of gore/horror looks I just haven't edited them or uploaded them, again sorry. But, as I have been busy working and gaming there isn't very much in my beauty favorites for the month. With this said I will start with my favorites and then tell you all about whats to come and my very first competition YAY!

I haven't really worn much makeup this month as I haven't really gone out. But, when I have had to pop out to pick a few bits up from the shop, I have been wearing wither the Bare Minerals Bare Skin foundation or the Benefit Bigger than BB foundation. these foundations are so quick to apply, which I just use my fingers and it gives me a light to medium coverage for those can't be asked days. To help contour and highlight my face, I have been obsessed with the Charlotte Tilbury Sculpt and Highlighter. This is really expensive at £49 almost £50, so it's not for the faint hearted, but it is such an amazing product. I don't contour with the sculpt powder, as I use it to warm up my face but you could contour with it. But the highlighter is amazing, the perfect highlighter shade which is very pigmented. For my eyes I have been loving the Narsassist Duel-Intensity shadow palette, it is a great shadow palette containing 8 unique shades. These shades can be made more intense by adding water, and they make the perfect eye any way you want it, whether smokey or nude. To finish my easy look I have been loving several lip shades. Using the Bobbi Brown Lip Pencil in Ballet Pink is just the perfect pinky brown shade, which is goes perfectly with the Nars Lip Stain crayon in Rikugien which is just a really nice nude browny red shade. The second lip shade I have been loving is the Bobbi Brown Art Stick in Dusty Pink, a perfect pink rose shade which is so easy to apply being a really chunky pencil. What's even better about Bobbi Brown lip crayons and pencils is that they come with a pencil sharpener so you don't need to by a separate one. The final lip color I have been loving is the MAC Matte Lipstick in the shade Red Russian, it is just the perfect red for me and my skin tone. It is not drying at all compared to other matte shades and it makes my teeth look whiter. I was surprised I could wear this bright red in public as usually I'm a little shy to, but it was that good that I couldn't resist showing it to the world. Finally my last sort of beauty favorite is my Mehron liquid latex, if you have seen my Instagram then you would have seen my gore/horror makeup which I used mainly liquid latex. This stuff is amazing if you do special effects you will know what I mean and if you want to start you definitely need this, just don't get it on your clothes as it will never come off.

So most of my extras are more fashion based with only two being random and addictive. My first favorite is my floral headband from Primark, which I have had for about a year now and have never really worn it at all. But, now my hair is longer and much more voluminous the headband doesn't look too bad. I have also been loving my new hat from Top Shop, it is just a big black floppy hat which I have always wanted and now finally have. I just love the way it looks on, as it looks so high fashion for me which is so sad haha. I have also been loving my bright colorful necklace from River Island, as it just makes any basic outfit come alive. To keep with the almost high fashion look (for me anyway) I have been loving these heeled boots from New Look. I don't have a basic heeled boot for everyday and these are just perfect and super comfy. I have spent whole days in them and didn't feel any pain, which if you have worn heels you know is a struggle to find something that comfy. My final two favorites are my games, the first is an Xbox game which I have been playing on the Xbox 360, Oddworld; Munch's Odyssey. I remember this game years ago and couldn't wait to play it, now I am only 2 levels from the end, further than I have ever gone before. The only problem with playing this game on the Xbox 360 is that the voices don't work all the time, in fact I have only been able to hear the voices twice in the entire game play. The videos still have sound and you still get the background sound, but that isn't the same without the voices so I always have the background music off. the second game I have been loving is the new Resident Evil Revelations 2 for the Playstation 4. I am such a gamer girl, that me and my fiancee are now half way through it after only playing it twice. It is super addictive and one of the only games we have found that is also two player, so it is great to play it with one or two people, I know I have. The game isn't as bad as I remember the very first Resident Evil game being, which is good because I can play this one so much better then the first. The only thing that is annoying is all the different button combinations to do different things, the one thing I don't like is the gun shooting as you have to push one button and hold it to push another just to fire. That is just too complicated for me, especially when you are trying to kill evil fast haha.

That is all of my April favorites, now on to the good stuff my very first competition.
I have been meaning to do one since I reached 100 follower on Instagram, I just haven't got round to it. However, as I love or really am obsessed with the Jurassic Park franchise I though this would be the perfect opportunity to do a little competition to celebrate the release of the new Jurassic World film.

Whether that be a dinosaur, character from the films or even the logo, it's entirely up to you so go crazy with your ideas. As this is a beauty competition you cannot just by a mask from a shop and post it as that is not part of the fun. It must be your ideas and you can do as many as you want to.
