Smashbox On The Rocks Palette || Review

I've been getting really into my shadows and eye makeup recently and looking for really good shadows, especially bronze and gold colors has been a priority. Then after Christmas I went around looking at some of the sale items, when I came across the Smashbox On The Rocks Palettes. There were two sizes a small palette just made up of a few of the shades within the large palette, so I picked up the large palette as it had so many more colors to choose from.

The packaging itself is so beautiful and shiny, with a foam lid which was slightly holographic. On opening the box, the colors that face your are so beautiful, with a mixture of mattes and shimmers, though they are mainly shimmers. The colors are very pigmented and full of color, though there is a shade in the palette that is a little on the chunky chalky side, but luckily it is a white shade which I have many of. The great thing about this palette is that it has a huge mirror, great for going makeup on the go.

Applying these shadows couldn't be simpler and they are so smooth, and having mattes and shimmers mean that it is easy to create amazing looks with transition to the brow. The only thing that would make this palette even better is if it came with a brush but it didn't (Not that I need any more brushes).

I would strongly recommend the Smashbox shadow palettes as I have swatched the Double and Full Exposure palettes as the consistency is exactly the same and so beautiful.

Stay Gorgeous
