March Favorites

Another month down, and my birthday, the end of my first university year and Christmas is that little bit closer (some closer then others). With that we should look back at what we have been loving this past month. For me there wasn't that much I have been loving that is any different from my usual loves (which would be boring if I did the same stuff over and over again). The usual categories of loves will always stay I think, as beauty and extra/random, so lets get started.

To keep my skin clean and clear, ready for any makeup, I have been loving the Emma Hardie Cleansing Facial Balm. It's a little on the pricey side compared to products that are just as good, but I have found it a little temperamental with regards to heat. At room temperature it is either solid or melted and put in the fridge it is a little too hard, very annoying for a high-end product. To nourish my lips, but more to make them smell and taste nice I have been loving the EOS lip balm in Mint. It does nothing as a lip balm in my opinion, but it smells and tastes amazing, I actually prefer the min to any other flavor. They are super cheap and can be picked up from Top Shop, Selfridges and Urban Outfitter, as well as online. Clean face, it's time to apply the base, foundation and the one I am obsessed with is the new Nars All Day Weightless Foundation. It is the perfect shade for me and medium coverage which can be built to a higher coverage. The consistency of the foundation is so silky and easy to blend out, there are more shades available then their other foundations. Again high-end but well worth the price, if you don't like their sheer glow/matte then you will love this one. To apply this foundation, the Bare Minerals Precision Brush. A angled kabuki brush, which is very dense and very large, but it just works so well with the Nars foundation. You can't leave the house without some dimension to the face and a good set of brows. So I have been loving the Benefit Hoola Bronzer to add a little warmth to my face and give it a bit of natural shadow. It is a really nice bronzer and great for blending out a sharp contours, it is almost natural (as in not to red and not to brown) but a little goes a long way for pale skin, so go sparingly as you can always build it up. For my brows, or more outlining the brows, I am loving the Laura Mercier Brow Definer. It is a high end product so it is on the pricey side, but it just works so well at outlining my brows to be filled in. The shade I have looks like it will match but it a little on the lighter side, and I have no clue if there are other shades, but it's still great. Nude looks seem to be my go to look at the moment, and my new perfect nude lipstick is Mac's Angle. It matches my skin tone and lip shade perfectly without washing me out or making my lips to dark. You can't not love Mac lipsticks, they smell amazing and you can find the perfect shade for you. For the eyes, another high end brand, though the price isn't too bad though still a little more then drugstore prices. Bobbi Brown long lasting cream shadow pot in Beach Bronze and a long lasting cream stick in Golden Bronze. I am obsessed with bronze and golden shades this year on my eyes as it is so beautiful and warm, these products are just amazing. They are really creamy and easy to apply to the eye and blend out well, but you need to move quick as they dry and stay. Great for all day wear and tear, I can put it on in the morning and it still looks good by the end of the day. But, to make me feel even more special and important, for those days you just feel like poo, I have been loving the Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream. I have wanted this perfume for ages and now with it I just can't get enough and feel super special with it on hehe.

With most of my favorites being beauty related, there is always a few extra favorites, and for this month there is only 3. The first I have been loving is the Pretty Honest book, I love reading and have been aiming to read a book a month. I have been beavering through this book and am now past half way and I am loving it. If you are a beauty enthusiast/Blogger/Youtuber you need this book in your life. It is a great reference to beauty for all types of skin and learn about your skin and beauty. It has given me more of an understanding on more mature skin and their needs as well as the best way to pick a perfect perfume. It is such an eye opener and looks great on my book shelf. As I have aims to drink more water, I have picked up a Robinsons Squeeze juice. It is so handy to throw in your bag and add to water when you need it, I find water starts to taste funny after a while but by adding some juice to it gives me more of a chance to drink it all, and let's face it water is cheaper then coke. Finally, I have been loving my long green tartan scarf from  Accessorize. It is so snuggly and warm, especially on these cold early mornings. I have always wanted one of these long scarfs as they look so fashionable, a great investment for winters to come.

That's it all the things I have been loving this month. Lets hope next month will be just as good.
What have you been loving this month?
