Kiko Lustering Punk Lip Set || Review

Wednesday, January 28, 2015

I have been meaning to review all of Christmas sets I got back in December, but it has taken me so long to give them a proper try that I had to wait till now to tell you all about the sets. I hope when you saw them in my haul videos and favorite videos you went out and picked them up, if not I am sure you can get them or similar right now, they may even be in their sales section. This review is all on the Kiko Lustering Punk Lip collection, this range way out at around Christmas time and I fell in love with this berry shades the moment I swatched it. I was looking for some autumn shades of lipstick and couldn't find that perfect shade, then I found it.

The packaging the set was in, was a little over the top, as there was a lot of packaging not very environmentally friendly. The lipstick came with a matching lip liner, the lip liner to me was very naff and cheaply made compared to the lipstick. It seemed very flimsy, and the barrel that you turned to push the product up was very very loose. The color and product itself is very good but I feel it would be better in the set if it was a little darker, as I don't want to fill my lips in with the same color as the lipstick.

The lipstick is amazing, the packaging is very professional and fun, and it has a push-pull system to remove the lipstick. The shade is a berry shade and matte, this is great for the cold months as too much shine can look a little silly in the winter months. Even though the product is matte, it is very moisturizing and keeps the lips hydrated. It is very easy to apply to the lips, almost like velvet on the lips, not to mention it makes my lips look huge. It is such a bright bold color that I was nervous I wouldn't be able to pull it off, but I have had so many amazing comments on it that I have the confidence to wear it out and about. As for transfer, there is a little wear at first but the color still stays intact, I have worn this lipstick for over 6 hours and the color looks just as good as when it was first applied.

I would recommend this product to anyone and everyone, especially if you are pale skinned as it complements the skin tone perfectly. It is also inexpensive with the set costing only £15.00 or the lipstick costing only £7.50, bargain for a decent lipstick.

What are your favorite Lipsticks for the Autumn/Winter months?
