Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain || Review

I have had this for a while but as I was doing so many Halloween looks I didn't get round to doing a review, so here it is.

Looking at this product my first impressions, its a great size just to throw in your handbag. There are a few colors to choose from, but not a lot. I didn't want to go to bold, so I went for the nude shade instead - 050 London Posh. This shade is much more peachy then I first thought it would be, it is also has a lot of gold shimmer in it, which I was not expecting at all. The wand is a great shape to cover the whole lip with a point on the wand for getting close to the edges. The mixture is so smooth and glossy, though on the lips it starts out tacky but then seems to melt onto the lips.

You can double up the layers for a more opaque shade or one layer blended to create more of a subtle look. I like to pair mine on top of Soap and Glory Gloss Stick in Nudist, for that pinch of color on a nude lip. Though, as the name suggests stain I was highly expecting the color to last on the lips for a long time. However, disappointingly I found the gloss did not last that long at all, maybe about an hour tops. However, to the fact that it didn't last long, I did really love the gloss and would love to get more of them just for the luxury feel.

The price is reasonable, only £7.99 and can be found most places that sell Revlon makeup such as Boots and Superdrug. I would say that this gloss is perfect for a smokey eye look this Christmas, so head out and grab one while there here. Or better yet add it to your Christmas list, it would be a great present in a stocking.
