November Favorites

Tuesday, November 25, 2014

So, it has come to the end of November, god that went quick. I feel like I blinked and missed November, but I did somehow manage to find some favorites. Before I start, I want to let you dolls, know that I will be doing Vlogmas starting 1st December (I explained in my Video). I am even doing 2 Instagram challenges, a whole month one and a 12 days of beauty one, I will be choosing the best out of the week. I debating whether or not to do a little give away at the end for 2 people I think have done the best, let me know what you think. Also my next monthly favorites, will actually be a 2014 favorites, so look out for that.

Beauty
Skincare has been a staple for this month, as I have been under so much stress, my skin has been going mental. Heading into the Body Shop I picked myself up a face mask, which I have been using twice a week for a month and it hasn't got half way through, yay. The 3 in 1 exfoliating and cleansing mask is perfect for normal -oily skin, it has been helping my skin a lot but the odd blemish still appears. I'm not a huge fan of the scent, but it is such a convenient mask to have in your skin care cupboard. I have also been loving the Body Shop Coconut Body Scrub, firstly the smell is amazing I just can't get enough of that scent. The scrub is great at exfoliating my legs and I feel like I don't need to shave as often. I have also used it on my face (Don't Try this) it does burn a bit but I only do this once or twice a week just to make sure all the dead skin is off my face as I do get a little flaky in patches during winter.

Makeup wise I have been loving a few products, the Body Shop's Tea Tree Pore Minimiser, it is great at covering up my pores, though I do put Benefit Porefessional under it just to stop it flaking off. It is very strong smelling of tea tree, which is supposed to help blemishes. I'm not 100% sure if it does fight blemishs yet as I think I need to use it a bit longer for that. Before anything is put on my face I has been spraying my face with Urban Decay B6 Prep Spray. It doesn't smell that great I have to say but it deffinatly soaks up my excess oil, great for those of you with oily skin. As for combating redness and blemishes I haven't noticed much of a difference. I have the travel size one which is a great size for me as I am not even a quarter of the way through, all you need is one or two squirts. For my eyes I have been staying nude and basic, using Bourjois Creme to Powder Shadow, for that taup champagne shade to the lids. I love this product it is the only one that actually turns to powder, unlike some which go hard this is soft and luxurious. I have also been grabbing the new Revolutions Makeup Metalic Foil Shadow in Rose Gold. It is amazing and really strange to use as its almost wet and gloopy without being to wet. It goes on the eye so easily and makes them look very festive and ready to party. The shimmer is not chunky at all and feels like any other powder shadow on the eyes. To finish my festive winter look off I have been loving the new Kiko Luscious Punk Lipstick in 04, a berry/plumb shade. It lasts all day and makes my lips look so much bigger. I was a bit worried about wearing this bright shade out but it looks amazing. You can only pick it up in the Christmas set from Kiko, so it does some with a lip liner, but the lipstick on its own is amazing. For my nails, I have been obsessed with the new Essie polish, A Cut Above, it is a rose colored glitter polish that goes with everything. I have worn it with gold and it give off this amazing rose gold shade to the nails and with pink, giving the pink a sparkle to it. If you haven't seen it yet, check it out before its gone hehe.

I have been loving my Zoella Beauty Makeup Bag (the eyes one), it's just a great size, it's not too big that you can't just throw it into your bag, but it's not to small that you can't fit everything in it. I love the look of the bag and just love the eyes on it my fave makeup bag next to my Ted Baker one. I have also been loving the Starbuck app as I have been loving the Honey and Almond Hot Chocolate from there. I have actually purchased 6 large hot chocolates in two weeks, oops. The app is great if you are going to buy drinks from Starbucks on the go as you top up you app to spend at the store, just scan your phone at the till to pay. This is great for me as I can limit the times I go there and also I have my phone attached to my hand all the time so it's just so handy. There are perks with the app as once you have been to Starbucks 50 times (paying) you become a gold level holder, this means you get extra shots for free and even whip cream as well as a free drink at cup number 15. I have also been loving the NUS Extra app and UniDays app, for those much needed student discounts. Especially now it is coming up to Christmas no one wants to pay all that money for presents (especially students). I have been keeping up to date with all the latest discounts and even event days. For a student these are the apps you need, they are both free however, NUS you need to have an NUS card.

These have been my favorites this month, crazy as I have only just realized it is the end of November. Again don't forget to try out my Instagram Challenges and check out my Vlogmas. What has been your favorite part of November?

Stay Gorgeous
