Kiko Eye Shadow || Review

Kiko is a new brand that I only discovered last year and since moving to Surrey I have found a local one, which means a bit more spending oops. Their product are such good quality at such an affordable price, however, there are some shadows I wouldn't recommend just because I didn't have a very good color pay off. But, the products I'm going to talk about are some of my favorite, one is a palette and the other a water effect shadow.

The eye shadow palette is part of their cards range, Daring Game (Heart, Diamonds, Clubs and Spades), the palette called Elegant Ebony, has three matte shades and one shimmer shade. The three matte shades are a varied range of browns from light to dark, these shades are great at creating a smokey eye or a gradient eye. The consistency is very smooth and soft, there is a little bit of fall out my they are very opaque colors. The shimmer shade is a tan, champagne color and not chunky at all, it makes the corners of the eyes stand out, and even looks good all over the eye. Again there is a little fall out but not much, the palette as a whole is a great size to throw in your bag and even has a mirror for on the go application. It is only £14.90, which for a new limited edition range is a good price, when comparing it to MAC were they sell sets for £29 onward. If you haven't tried Kiko and want to give it a go I would recommend this palette, to have a range of shadows to try. If you are looking for a great gift this Christmas for yourself or the woman in your life, pick up one of these shadow palettes.

The single eye shadow, known as the water eye shadow, comes in its on little pod with a fairly large mirror, considering many simple shadows don't come with one. The shadows are really good value for money at £8.90, and I would compare it to MAC Extra-dimensions shadows. The shade I picked up was Grapefruit Pink, a golden rose color, mixture of shimmer pink and gold. The shadow is very pigmented and looks amazing on the eyes, I try not to use it with a lid primer as it can appear a little chunky. There are a lot of shades available from blacks to champagnes, a shade for everyone. If you are looking for a alternative brand to MAC, I would recommend this brand not just for the shadows but for the lipsticks as well. If you haven't tried any Kiko or found one near you visit a store near your location.
