August Favorites

August is coming to an end quick and fast, with summer being completely over ending with heavy rain and winds. All we can do is look back at our amazing summer of fun and freedom before we head back to school. Remembering fun times we've had this month you end up thinking about things that have been well used, or even become favorites. Yes that's it August Favorites a lot more randoms then beauty, but beauty is always there as a helping had when things need doing.

I can't start my favorites with out at least acknowledging the brushes used to make me all glamorous, the brush of choice Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. For me, it's great for applying my MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation, great for those days when you need more coverage. I find this brush so much better to apply this foundation than the others as I find other brushes can leave me blotchy and not well blended.

As I have been trying to conserve my Loreal Lumi Pure Light Primer I have been grabbing for other primers, the one I've been loving this month Benefit That Gal. Its a great primer to add light to the face, without looking over the top. It has a strawberry milkshake smell to it, with the color being a pink tone, but blends out perfectly.

To add some definition to my face I have been loving the Sleek Face Form Contouring and Blush Palette, especially the bronzer. I wasn't sure if the color would be good on my fair skin, but it really blends out well and gives me a great contour. The color is similar to the Benefit Hoola Bronzer, but more affordable and less pigmented, great for us fair skinned people. As well as the bronzer, the highlight and blush are great and make a fabulous all in one palette.

To my lips, I've been keeping them pretty nude this past month (before the darks for autumn/winter). The nude of choice, Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Puker Gloss Stick in Nudist. It's a redish nude, highly glossy and smells like vanilla (just like MAC Lip Sticks). The color is great for my lip and skin color, as well as keeping my lips hydrated. I see it being a great must have product for the autumn/winter as the cold winds hit.

To wash all this makeup off I have been loving my Rodial Stem Cell Super-food Cleanser. Just take a bit and rub it over your makeup and it takes it off, just wash it off with the muslin cloth it comes with. Just leaves your face feeling cleaner, fresher and younger. To exfoliate my face afterwards I use the Lush Herbalism scrub. Its all natural and has a very strange smell, but it is great for spot prone skin and helps combat redness.

My nails have been covered in my favorite polish at the moment, Barry M Bikini (Limited Edition at Boots). It's a Blue color that is verging on being purple, it's that kind of color you haven't seen before and can't get enough of it. This color could even help the transition between summer/autumn/winter, it's still available at Boots, so if you haven't got it already head out and grab it before it's gone.

I've been walking so much this month that I have been more comfortable in trainers and the trainers I've been grabbing most of the time, my Nike Blazer Mid Suede trainer in Black. They are so comfortable, but looking at them they seem they should have costed far less than what I paid last year (£70). The tongue of the shoe is just foam and its not covered with a bit of fraying around the edges of it. But, it's not a purchase I regret buying, as I wore these trainers on the day I got engaged.

Being the big coke lover I am, I have seen that they are selling big bottles (1.75l) of the Vanilla Coke, Amazing! I love Vanilla Coke, I don't know why, I couldn't get enough of it when it first came out and now it's in bigger better bottles, so I see myself getting a bit coke dependent over the next coming months hehe.

Films have been a date night must this past month, going nearly every weekend. Out of the times we have gone I have loved a few of the films. The Inbetweeners 2 was amazing, such a great laugh maybe better than the first film, it shot by and as soon as you knew it the end was there. The boys have said in interviews, there is no way of doing another film as this film ended the saga. But, if anyone has seen it, there are possibilities of doing another film, or even a TV special so there is still hope. The second was the Expendables 3, I have hear loads of people say it was just too many big names and bad jokes. But, seeing the film myself I thought it was great, the beginning was a little slow and overly CGI-ed but the rest of the film was great (and Kellen Lutz did look his bad boy self hehe).

Going to Odeon so much I downloaded the Cinime app. It's a great app that lets you' play along with the big screen', basically you can interact with offers and games that may be shown in the screening. I have won two large tubs of popcorn with this app, but, it doesn't just win you popcorn. You can also win tickets, large drinks and even Ben and Jerry ice cream, all you have to do is answer two or three or the questions asked. Two correct questions get you a medium popcorn or drink, three gets you large. Don't worry if you aren't great at knowledge or maths the questions are about films.

In my last post I talked about all of the apps I use for my photo editing and it's no surprise that some of these apps have made it to my monthly favorites. Blend Pic, Photo Mirror and Color Touch are my three top new and revolutionary editing apps. Blend pic, just blends photos together, making them look professional and stylish with meaning. Photo Mirror is an app that lets you mirror photos, but in more ways than the basic side shot. Finally Color touch is where you can choose where color goes in a black and white photo, basically turns you photo black and white and you select what you want in color.

These have been my august favorites what are yours?
