NYX HD Concealer Review

Tuesday, July 29, 2014

Just like the NYX Butter Glosses, a real want on my beauty list was the NYX HD Concealer. IMATS was the place to be for ticking things off the beauty list and NYX was on the top. The only thing with IMATS is that it can get super busy, especially at the NYX booth and it can be a bit daunting to do swatches. This said I purchased the lightest shade (CW01 Porcelain) which is a little too light for the summer months so I should have purchased two shades.

Using this concealer has been a game changer, I have nothing like it. Trying out HD foundations and powders I have never owned a concealer, but this has got to be a one of a kind product (in the drugstore). The coverage is great, all blemishes were covered and it was so easy to blend out. I mainly use this product under my eyes, which acts as a natural highlight and brings more focus to the eyes. I haven't seen much flash back with this product, which is great as HD products can have a flash back which can wash out the face in photos.

The concealer itself has a wand applicator so it is easier to apply, but a little does go along way with this product so it would have been better in a pump form like the MAC Pro-longwear Concealer. The product is very creamy and the color is very opaque, with a lot of colors to choose from. The colors available also include a yellow, green and lavender, which create great color blockers. They are fairly cheap for what they are (I personally would be willing to pay MAC price for it), but it is still on the pricey side for a drugstore concealer. NYX HD Concealer is £6 (I paid only £4.50 at IMATS).
